Last week was the first time I was able to meet up with Lisa at Wags and Whiskers. It was a fun experience meeting her and all of the cats and dogs by name. Lisa is very laid back and gave me the impression of taking things day by day. We mostly talked about the cats and how some of them have kitty colds and needed to be isolated. She also let me know about a new batch that had been dropped off by this man who is probably the spawn of Satan. I just want to explain the condition of the cats so that we can all share an equal amount of detestation towards him. He left them crammed in a box probably for days without food or water, and the cats ended up being covered in their own fecal matter and starving. But now these sweet souls are in caring hands.
Lisa wants to have a mural put up so that families can take pictures of their new family members. I am also taking up the challenge of painting small portraits to be taken home with the new adoptees. I started painting the small black and white kittens to start with because they will be adopted first. I've been able to get my portraiture time down to an hour, but I'm hoping after a few more to get it down to a little less than an hour. So here's some cute kittens with kitty colds on their way to forever homes.
