This week at my residency I finished painting the, "old people," cat room and a second room for where the cats go that have kitty colds. I went back through the old people room, and got the trim painted. That ended up taking a lot longer than I originally thought it would. I didn't have any painters tape, so I had to keep going back through with a wet rag to clean the paint off the walls.
I think I might just start painting the rooms by myself because when I was doing the trim and got the second room painted, it went by a lot faster, and it was a lot more of a cleaner process. No cats were painted on and no paint drips got on the floor. That was one of the conversations I had with Lisa this week. More paint got on the floor and the cats than on the walls, and she was understandably concerned about that, so I went out of my way to make sure I cleaned up behind myself. Which was way easier since I was the only person painting.

But I'm really proud about how the trim came out. It really helped brighten the rooms up. Me and Lisa are both really loving the new colors for the walls. I have also learned something new about myself in the process of painting trim. I'm really bad at it and I should never pursue interior painting as a profession.
