For this week I decided I wanted to work with the idea of a poor person's Dutch still life. I decided to work in the direction of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. My first painting ended up being breakfast. I blew the image up to a 4x4 size.
I initially began working on the tomatoes but I was having a hard time with the opaqueness of my paint. It was too thin so I had to keep working back into it. The artist I had in mind for this painting was Tjalf Sparnaay. He paints eggs a lot, so I wanted to include an egg in mine.
